String 189 beads onto thread (go for 200 or 250 to be safe).

Pouch

Row 1: (outside)Ch 25. Dc in 4th ch from hook, and in each ch across. (23 sts)

Finishing

Fold strip at row 22. Sc two sides together starting where rows 1 and 42 meet. Have rows 1 - 21 facing you. Work one sc in each row down the side, through both thicknesses. Work 3 sc in bottom corner, work 1 sc in each st across bottom (into row 22 of sc), work 3 sc in corner, work sc in each row up the side through both thicknesses. Finish off.

Attach with sc to end of row 43 on opposite side of pouch with beaded side facing you and narrow flap to the left. Sc in end of each row. Work 3 sc in corner, sc across top of row 54, 3 sc in corner, work sc in end of each row to opposite side of row 43. Finish off. Work in ends.

Necklace

String on 200 beads.

Attach with 2 sc to edge of Row 43-45. *Draw up bead, work ch. Turn. Sc in row below. Repeat from * until necklace 26 to 30 inches long. Sc to opposite side of pouch at the ends of rows 43-45.

Fringe

Wrap thread 60 times around short end of business card. Cut through one end. Working into sc along bottom edge of pouch attach fringe as follows:

Take 2 pieces of the cut thread and fold in half. Insert hook into sc, hook thread in middle, pull up loop, hook ends of thread, pull through loop. Tug ends to tighten. When all fringe attached, trim evenly.

Attach cardinal button or charm of choice on middle edge of flap.
